2D->1D Integration

Integration of the 2-dimensional diffraction patterns into 1-D profiles is normally done automatically in CrysalisPro when operating in powder mode. This produces a file called something like exp123_powder.dat, which can then be read into other programs for analysis.

If the 2D image is not automatically integrated, this can be accomplished at the command prompt in crysalis pro via:

POWDER RADIAL bins 2thetamindeg 2thetamaxdeg [azimdegmin azimdegmax] [pathfilename]

(Note that this can also be used for integrating a pie shaped piece rather than the whole image, if desired. This may be beneficial for analysis of clays, in which case the rings may only be on one side of the image.)
