Startup/Shutdown

Typical state (System interface is on, Chillers are on):

1. Open command shell (2nd button down on left in CrysalisPro)

2. Type 'script' (no quotes) and hit return

3. Navigate to C:\Xcalibur\macro and run 'turn_on_xray.mac'

4. Wait a while (

5. Sign into the log book

   • CCD Detector information from CCD button in CrysalisPro

   • X-ray information from Xray button in CrysalisPro

   • Cryojet information from Cryo button in CrysalisPro

   • Chiller flows from ODBench on CCD command line

     • Click start on Xray Chiller &  Ccd Chiller tabs

6. Run experiment (see other pages for details)

7. Shut down: run the 'turn_off_xray.mac' script and leave instrument as is

Ground up state (Nothing is on):

1. Turn on water supply (green valve handle should be opened enough to give 17.5 psi on pressure gauge)

2. Turn on System Interface (Mains on system interface - top of electronics cabinet)

3. Start the X-ray and CCD chillers (Mains buttons at bottom of electronics cabinet)

4. Turn on X-ray Generator (Power on - Nova X-ray generator - middle of electronics cabinet)

5. Go to above
